This Data Protection Notice explains how Mivra handles information when you use our app. Mivra is a local workout logging tool designed for manually recording outdoor exercise activities such as running, walking, cycling, hiking, swimming, and other custom workout types. The app is built to work without GPS tracking and without continuous network access, and most user data is stored locally on your device.
We only use information to provide core app features such as workout history, pace calculations, calorie estimates, statistics, goals, achievements, and user preferences. Where any data is processed for optional services or technical support, we apply the protections described in this notice. By using the app, you understand and accept the practices described here.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect user information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. These safeguards may include device-level protections, local data storage controls, access restriction practices, encrypted or protected transport where applicable, and limited internal access to support and maintenance functions.
Because the app is designed primarily for local storage, your workout records remain on your device unless you explicitly choose to use a feature that requires processing elsewhere. We also aim to minimize the amount of information processed at any given time and delete temporary data after it is no longer needed.
We may update this notice from time to time to reflect changes in the app, legal requirements, or security practices. When we make material changes, we will revise the date at the top of this document and may provide in-app notice or another reasonable form of communication.
Your continued use of the app after an update becomes effective means you accept the revised notice. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
Mivra is intended for users who are 17 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If we learn that information from a child under 17 has been collected, we will take appropriate steps to delete it as soon as reasonably possible.
If you believe a child under 17 has provided us with information, please contact us using the details in Section N.
Information you provide directly: The app may store workout records you enter, including workout type, distance, duration, date, route description, heart rate, feeling rating, notes, weight settings, unit preferences, goal settings, and related user preferences. If you contact support, we may also receive the message content and any details you choose to share.
Information collected automatically: We may collect limited technical information necessary to operate and maintain the app, such as app version, device model, operating system version, crash reports, diagnostic logs, and basic usage information related to app performance. We do not use GPS tracking for workout recording.
Cookies and similar technologies: Because Mivra is primarily a native mobile app, it does not rely on browser cookies in the traditional sense. However, local storage technologies such as UserDefaults and Core Data are used to save preferences and workout history on your device. If any web-based page is used for account, support, or payment-related flows, standard web storage or similar technologies may be used only for functionality and security.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information. You may also be able to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and you may request clarification about how your information is used.
In practice, many workout records and settings can be managed directly inside the app, including editing entries, removing records, resetting preferences, or exporting data where supported. For additional requests, you may contact us at the email listed in Section N. We may need to verify your request before taking action.
Mivra does not use facial recognition, face templates, or biometric identification. The app does not perform biometric analysis and does not build or store biometric profiles.
If any image, scan, or similar input were ever processed for a specific feature in the future, such data would be handled only for that feature’s immediate purpose and deleted after processing unless the app clearly explains otherwise and you choose to use that feature.
We use information to provide the app’s core functions, such as recording workouts, calculating pace and estimated calories, showing trends and achievements, storing preferences, and maintaining your history. We also use limited diagnostic information to keep the app stable and fix technical issues.
We do not use your information for advertising, targeted marketing, profiling, AI training, model optimization, or sale to third parties. We do not use user content to infer personal traits for commercial profiling purposes.
We retain information only as long as needed for the stated purpose or as required by law. Workout records and generated results may remain in your history until you delete them. You can remove saved entries at any time through the app.
Temporary processing data is deleted after the processing task is completed. Uploaded content, if any feature ever accepts it, is deleted after processing unless retention is required for the feature you selected. Crash logs may be retained for up to 12 months. Support messages may be retained for up to 6 months to help resolve issues, after which they are deleted or anonymized where appropriate.
Your information may be processed in different regions depending on where our infrastructure or service providers are located. When cross-border processing occurs, we apply reasonable safeguards intended to protect your information and require recipients to handle it in accordance with our instructions and applicable law.
Because Mivra is designed to operate primarily on-device, most workout data remains on your device. If any data is processed outside your country or region, it is limited to the purpose for which you provided it.
All AI processing, if used by any feature in the future, is performed exclusively on our own internal servers. We do not use third-party AI services to process user data. We do not send user content to external AI providers.
Any temporary processing data used for AI-related tasks is deleted after processing is completed. We do not use user data for AI training, model tuning, or model improvement. AI-related processing is not used for advertising, profiling, or any unrelated secondary purpose.
We do not sell, rent, or trade user data. We do not share any user-uploaded or user-generated content with any third party.
If we use third-party service providers for limited infrastructure purposes such as cloud storage, server hosting, or basic operational support, those providers act solely on our behalf and under our instructions. They are bound by contractual obligations to protect data security and are not permitted to use user data for their own purposes, for advertising, for profiling, for AI training, for model optimization, or to independently access, redistribute, or otherwise use user content.
We may disclose information only when necessary to comply with law, enforce our rights, protect users, or respond to valid legal requests, and only to the extent required.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Mivra, you agree to the collection, use, and handling of information described in this Data Protection Notice. If you do not agree with this notice, you should stop using the app.
Continued use of the app after changes to this notice become effective also means you accept the updated version.
